M&M Quality Grinding offerings include precision saw-cutting capabilities. Saw cutting provides smaller bars for running equipment that utilizes shorter bar loaders, or to run the parts on non-automated equipment. Certain milling centers and lathes also require shorter lengths. Also, it is sometimes requested to accommodate carriers that can only carry shorter bars, or for certain heat treatment facilities with ovens that can only handle smaller bars.
Bar stock materials that we can cut to length include stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, aluminum, thermoplastics and a variety of specialty nickel bar stock (Inconel and Monel in particular).
M&M Quality Grinding is experienced with a wide range of bar cutting requirements from customers running many different types of equipment. This includes various bar lengths dimensions, as well as the additional requirements for finishing that may be needing including, straightening, chamfering and centerless grinding. burr removal and smoothing to create optimum bar ends for production runs.
